INCREASING BEAN YIELDS

Innovation Type - technique

Potential beneficiaries - , farm service centers, farm stores and other interested parties.

SUMMARY / SPECIAL CHARACTERISTICS

Invention refers to biotechnology, in particular to Rhizobium phaseoli bacteria that can be used in agriculture as a fertilizing agent.
Present biological fertilizers used on legume crops have an insufficient and unpredictable ability of attracting and preserving nitrogen.
The proposed invention prescribes treatment of bean seeds with Rhizobium phaseoli bacteria cells before planting. This treatment allows to improve the quality of the beans and to increase soil fertility rate.
The result of this invention consists in increasing beans root system’s ability to attract and preserve the nitrogen that will result in increased productivity.

ADVANTAGES

  • Reducing the application of chemical fertilizer in beans production;
  • Obtaining an organic product and reducing the environmental pollution;
  • Increasing twofold the nitrogen attraction capacity by beans’ root system;
  • Increasing bean productivity by 20%.

Current stage of development -

Desired collaboration - Partnership, investments
