SUMMARY/ SPECIAL CHARACTERISTICS:
Invention refers to nut kernel separation. The existing processes for separating the kernel from shell do not ensure a desired level of efficiency dividing only the nuts into: kernel and shell.
The proposed method includes passage of the mixture of cracked nuts through a constant electric current field with corona discharge. Thanks to physical-mechanical and electrical impacts occurred on the mixture, separation occurs in three fractions: kernel, shell and membrane. The invention ensures separation of nut mixture into three fractions and increases the kernel quality.
