Electro-hydrodynamic radiator

Innovation Type - Product

Potential beneficiaries - Industrial enterprises

DESCRIPTION/ SPECIAL CHARACTERISTICS

The innovation can be used in the systems of high voltage electric apparatuses cooling, filled with the dielectric liquid, specifically, power transformers, Roentgen apparatuses etc. The essence of the invention consists in that the electro-hydrodynamic radiator contains the inlet 1 and outlet 2 collectors, connected with each other with pipes 3, in which the high voltage electrodes 5 are fixed connected to the high voltage source.
The pipes are placed each two in section, and are arranged parallel in two lined thus forming the blow down canal. Each section is mounted within a casing. In each pipe 3 along the axis, each one high-voltage electrode 5 is placed, in the form of wire with perforated dielectric covering, which length is equal to the length of the pipe. The electrode within the pipe is fixed with the dielectric bushings – the external 11 and the internal one 12, placed coaxially and connected with each other with spokes. The bushings are shifted regarding each other along the pipe axis on the distance equal to the pipe diameter, and their length is equal to the 1,5 diameter of pipe. The external bushing 11 is fixed in the pipe and is shifted towards the outlet collector 2, and the high-voltage electrode is placed within the internal bushing 12; the free end of the electrode is facing the inlet collector and is insulated with the bushing.
Using of high voltage electrode provides the turbulence of heat bearer and its maximal electrization, which increases the efficiency of its transfer.
Using of asymmetric placing of bushings ensures the heat bearer circulation along the pipes, which results in the efficient cooling of radiator and is provided by optimal selection of bushings’ geometrical parameters. Pipes division into the sections and their placement in the casing, where autonomous cooling of each section proceeds, makes it possible to avoid the over-heating of heat bearer, increases the cooling efficiency and equipment durability. The result consists in the increase of radiator efficiency and increase of the equipment lifetime.

ADVANTAGES

  • Increase of cooling efficiency of power transformers;
  • Increase of the transformers lifetime, given their broad industrial application, the invention ensures an essential economic effect.
