New Sensor
The innovation regarding the gas sensor is about the formation of a zone of accidences on the sensitive element. These accidences have got an advanced sensibility regarding certain types of gas. The Sensor also makes a benchmarking of the received signals
Traditional Sensor
Normally a gas sensor has got the main structure with a layer sensitive to gas. On the other side of the main structure a heater is placed. On the sensitive layer ohmic metallic contacts are placed. As a rule, as sensitive elements metallic oxides or other semiconductors are used. Another method of designing selective gas sensors is based on applying layers of catalytic metals.

ADVANTAGES

  • Increased Gas Selectivity, because the sensitive layers do not detect unneeded gas
  • The simplicity and low cost of electro-chemical technologies applied to produce different accidences
