Bioreactor for waste water treatment with high contents in nitrogen-containing pollutants

Innovation Type - Product

Potential beneficiaries - Wineries

ESSENCE OF OUR INNOVATION:

All the wineries face the problem of waste water treatment with high contents in nitrate-containing substances. The solution proposed by us is a bioreactor which design guarantees an increase of purification degree from organic pollutants.
Our bioreactor involves the case with waste water inlets and outlets, sludge outflow pipeline, aeration, filtration and mixing systems. The case is divided consecutively with walls in the chambers of biochemical oxidation, nitrification chamber and denitrification one. Each chamber is equipped with the level-measuring device and filtration system consistent of the sieve filter with siphon in the internal part, which are connected with the treated water pipeline. The pipeline from the last chamber is linked with the treated water outlet. The upper part of each filter is connected to the electromagnetic vibrating device. The vibrators and level-meters are connected to the control device. The filters are made of the multi-layer inoxidable steel sieve and/or porous inoxidable steel with pores diameter 0,05-0,15mm.

ADVANTAGES

  • Construction of bioreactor is simple and it is economically efficient
  • Bioreactor is a multifuncţional equipment which permits to extract nitrates from waste water and provide removal of organic matter from them
  • 2-3 times increase in the efficiency of nitrates pollutants removal compared to the existing reactors!

Current stage of development - Available for demonstrations – field tests

Where was applied - „Vinaria - Bardar” S.A., I.M.

Desired collaboration - Partnership, investments and commercialization of final product
