LIQUIDATION OF ECOLOGIC PROBLEM BY THE PRODUCTION OF TARTARIC ACID:

Winery wastes can be treated to obtain tartaric acid. Tartaric acid is used in chemical industry, farmaceutics, food industry, radiotechnics, electronics, etc.
Why new method is superiour to the conventional ones?
The existing technologies of tartaric acid obtaining have low efficiency, thus the perspective direction is application of ion exchange processes for the obtaining of tartaric acid directly from the wine-making wastes, excluding the production of calcium tartrate. Our team propose a new technology of tartaric acid production from wine-making wastes with 99,1% purity degree of final product!
The proposed process unlike the existing ones, includes one stage only, because the chemical extraction is applied which ensures the selective extraction of tartaric acid from water solution with the help of extractant. In this way the conventional operations are excluded, namely: solution dilution or concentration with tartaric compounds, using of liquid cationites and anionites, carrying out of crystallization of acid by solution cooling, etc. The process of chemical extraction is done in standard reactor which is operating in automatic regime, and runs in conditions of the intensive mass transfer with phases circulation in counterflow. Process of tartaric acid crystallization from azeotropic mixture is realized simultaneously with the water distillation from this mixture, which permits to decrease the crystallization time of tartaric acid with 99,1% purity degree. Realizarea of this process does not depend on concentration of tartaric acid in solution, it can be applied both for low concentrated and high concentrated solutions, which nakes it possible to extend the application field of raw material.
